Lybrel birth control pills and upper respiratory infections? It says on the website and in the patient pamphlet that Lybrel can make you more prone to upper respiratory infections (it was one of the more commonly reported side effects in clinical trials), but it does not state anywhere what it is about Lybrel that can cause you get the infection. Does anyone know how Lybrel causes this?
General Questions about taking Lybrel birth control pill? I have been taking Lybrel for 3 months and it seems that I am experiencing a wide array of side effects. Prior to taking Lybrel, I had been taking Ortho-Tri Lo for 4 months. My reason for taking B.C. pills is because my periods had been getting increasingly worse over the past year (my doc thinks I have endometriosis), which essentially made life unbearable for 1 week every month. Going to work was even a challenge during period week. Unfortunatley, I became very moody on the Ortho-Tri pill, as my body seemed to react to each dosage change that happens weekly. Lybrel has brought on different issues: 1) I had spotting for 4 weeks straight during the 2nd month of taking it. 2) After the 4 weeks of spotting, I had an actual 6 day period (luckily the last 3 weeks have been fine). 3) I started exercising vigorously and limiting calories 7 weeks ago and I have only lost 1 pound. A year ago I did the same regimen and lost 20 lbs. Anyone out there having the same experience?
Has anyone tried Lybrel yet? I'm on Depo shots rignt now and having a hard time losing weight, so I'm wondering if Lybrel would be a good alternative. Any side effects (good and bad) you've experienced would be helpful.
ladies, r u willing to take the risk's associated with Lybrel, the new birth control? the new one thats supposed to make your period go away. They haven't really done thurough testing on it. Are you gonna risk possible side effects, just to eliminate that "time of the month"? Shouldnt' you wait, just to be safe? H.B.I.C.---I've heard about that seasonal one too. But they are saying that you can even still get pregnant. So what could it do to a baby?
BC Pill - LYBREL? I am thinking of getting on this birthcontrol pill and am wondering who else has taken it and what side effects you have had and how it has worked for you.
Anybody on Lybrel? That could give me an idea of side effects/how much bleeding you have? I have read all of the data. I am just looking for someone with a personal experience. Thanks.
Anyone taking/taken Lybrel? I know what the website and all the other info says the side effects might be, but I want to know if anyone who's taken it or currently taken it has had any side effects and what they were. I'm afraid to start taking it and I want to know what to expect. Thanks, in advance
Why are women so weird about menstrual suppression? I honestly don't undertstand this. I mean, when Seasonale came out and now that Lybrel is out, you'd think everyone would be celebrating. A period, aside from childbirth, is the WORST part about being female. Its an entire week every month of bleeding, cramps, bloating, fatigue, pms, and all that other lovely stuff and now that there is a way to end that, no one wants to try it! I mean, sure I was skeptical at first about the health risks, but I asked my gynecologist about it and she explained that when you're on birth control, you're not even having a real period! It's just bleeding as a side effect from hormone withdrawl and there is absolutley NO reason to have it every month. You can safely try it with ANY birth control (as women have been doing since the pill fist came out, and there's no reported problems) and still get a period as soon as you get off it. Yeah, periods are a natural fact of life, but they're absolutley horrible and since there's a safe way to stop them, why not? lynn, you could go to a planned parenthood or the local health clinic and get it free. my friend debbie does that WHO CARES if you're messing with mother nature? she's been messing with ME for the past six years! just cause it's "natural" doesn't mean you should have to deal with it! i've been on seasonale for two years, and yeah i've had spotting. but after your body get used to it, you have no more spotting and you're happily period-free! it's worth it
Pregnancy Symptoms or Stress? I posted a question a few days ago stating I was sure that I wasnt pregnant. Now I'm not so sure. My breasts hurt, I have MAJOR bad cramps, i've had diarea, threw up a few days ago, and at work the other day just smelling some of the stuff I normally would eat in a heartbeat made me wanna gag. I'm on the pill, but I just switched a few months ago, its the new pill where you dont get a period. Lybrel. Could these be side effects, stress from home & work, or could it be that I'm pregnant?
Are these pregnancy symtoms or am I going insane with stress? I posted a question a few days ago stating I was sure that I wasnt pregnant. Now I'm not so sure. Can I get Pregnant while on the pill? I have been taking Lybrel for 3 months, I havent had a period in two months...I just started getting bad preg. symptoms, like nausea, fatigue, moodiness (it has been every day for like 2 weeks). I did miss one pill a few weeks ago but doubled up the next...I took a home test and it was negative. Could I be pregnant or are these just side effects of this new pill?? Thanks in advance for your answers and advice!!!
birth control question? I started taking Lybrel about a week and a half ago and I've been having headaches on a regular basis ever since. Has anyone else taken Lybrel and went through it or had any other side effects I'm trying to figure out if it might be a good idea to switch my birth control pill I can't stand having headaches on a regular basis.
Acne and the pill? I'm 19 and I've never had a problem with acne, so if I go on the pill (Lybrel) could it cause me to have really bad acne? How likely is that side effect? Will it go away after a period of long term use?
