I am not on it anymore, but I was wondering if I could start it a week before my period usually begins to prolong the onset of menstruation. ( I have some left) I figured once I removed the patch my period would then just start.

Depo Shot Birth Control & Patch? I'm sick of having to remember to take birth control pills. I keep forgetting, messing up on them, and having to start over. So, I talked to my doctor, and he suggested the shot. But, he said there's a 20% chance that I'll bleed the entire three months it lasts. Of course, there's also an 80% chance I won't have a menstral cycle during that three months. So, I wanted to ask people that are on it how it's been working for them? I've heard horror stories about it, but after my doctor suggested it, I'm considering it. He advised against the patch. He said it doesn't work that well, and it comes off to easy. So I wanted to ask about that too. He may be a doctor, but he never has been and never will be a woman. I'm asking to hear about your experiences, not about your sister's, your brother's girlfriends, or anyone elses. So far those are the only stories I've heard, but I've never heard from someone who has had a first hand experience with it. A few years ago, I was prescribed from my gynecologist a form of birth control called estrostep because my ovaries produced more testerone than it was producing estrogen. How does the Birth Control Patch work? i love how a girl and put a patch on her body and boom birth control. LOL!

Im on the Ortho-Evra birth control patch. Is it safe for future pregnancy? Ive heard that the patch causes complications when you finally do want to get pregnant? Is this true for the patch ONLY or is it that way for all birth control methods? ve seen commercials about Ortho-Evra concerning fatalities as far as blood clots are concerened. What would be the next best form if I decided to change methods?

Is it natural to bleed after using a birth control patch? I used to have an irregular menstration until one of my friends advised me to take a birth control pills or patch. Since I'm forgetful and I didn't want to get pregnant yet, i thought it wouldn't be safe for me to take pills. I started using patch 6 months ago. I heard a lot of negative stories from women who used patch before but I just ignored it because I didn't feel anything weird while im on my patch. Me and my husband finally decided to have a baby soon, so I stopped from using it 2 weeks ago before I had my last period. I started spotting since yesterday. Is it normal? Is spotting one of the side effects of using patch? or may be my system got used to patch and is adjusting right now?

i've been on the birth control patch for about 3 months now...? i need to know if there is a possibility that a side effect of this birth control is making me skip a period even though i haven't missed one so far on the patch yet. i feel like i should be on my period, but nothing is happening, it was late last month, it should've started on sunday but didn't until tuesday night, and it is now wednesday when it should've started on sunday and i'm really concerned.

Have you used, or are you using the birth control patch----- warning? I got a blood clot after I had my 4th child and they are linking it to the ortho evra birth control patch. I loved using the patch for convenience, but many young mothers have died from using them! so if you are using it, be very careful, and watch your legs for any hot spots, or pain that feels like a charlie horse that focuses on a pin pointed spot on your leg!!! Be carefull, it may be nothing, but it might also be a clot!!

Has anyone ever started their period early on the orthro evra birth control patch? before you took it off? Needing to know if anyone has experienced this same problem....I am on the Orthro Evra birth control patch and the last time that I was supposed to take it off on a sat. so that I could start my period the following week, I started my period that Thursday before I was supposed to take it off. Now, I am supposed to take it off this coming saturday and I have started my period today.....Has this happened to anyone else? Is it normal? I have not had this problem until now.....THANKS

If they can make condoms for men and women why haven't they come up with a birth control patch/pill for men Women can get their tubes tied; men can get a vasectomy Their are female condoms; Their are male condoms Is their anything in the works for a male birth control patch/pill/shot that would prevent the swim or fertility of sperm to prevent pregnancy? Forms of St. John's Wort and Ortho Evra Birth Control Patch??? Needing to know any information about forms of St. John's Wort....does anyone know any forms of St. johns Wort.....I have been taking diet patches the past month....and they do not say in the ingredients that they contain St. John's Wort but, are there different names for it? PLEASE HELP ME!!! I NEED TO KNOW IF THE DIET PATCHES ARE CAUSING MY BIRTH CONTROL PATCHES TO BE INEFFECTIVE!!!!!!!! I did ask the nurse at the Dr.'s office if it was ok to take the diet patch with the birth control and she said she didn't see why not and that a lot of times they just add that warning, for people that take blood pressure medicine or have heart trouble....I am basically needing to know if the ingredients in the diet patches can have any effect on the Ortho Evra patch....the diet patches do NOT say that they contain St. John's Wort......the reason why I ask this question is because I started spotting or lightly bleeding last Monday that lasted until Saturday, while I was still on my week 3 patch...I wasn't supposed to take it off until this past Saturday....I took it off and I still have not started my "usual flow " period....I am wondering now if my birth control could have been affected by the ingredients in the diet patches...and if so If I could be pregnant....I already have a 1 year old son....and I never had these symptoms with him so I am clueless and to what is wrong with me!

the patch (birth control)? i was on the pill I was taking ortho try cylen lo and it was a really big hassle for me having to take the pill everyday and besides i didn't like it because it gave me side too many side effects. I don't want to g on the shot becuase i don't want to gain weight and I like the fact that I can go off birth control when ever I wish. Birth control patch user????? Has any ladies had problems with their period after stopping the patch. i stopped on Sept. 22nd. (my patch off day) i had my normal period on Sept 26-29. i have been having unprotected sex and i am late. i took a hpt and it was neg. i just want to know has anyone else experienced issues with their period after coming off the patch? Concerned Started Birth Control patch andmy period is longer than usual....? I started the patch in the 1st 24 hours of my period and I have been on my period for 11 days now. The flow is light, but bright red. I normally only bleed 7-8 days. Could this be from starting the patch? Or should I just take off the patch and wait till another cycle?
