Getting off birth control...Pregnancy Symptoms? I'd like to preface this question by saying that it is too early for me to take a home pregnancy test. On Monday, I started taking the pink pills which is when i was supposed to start my period. But there is still that chance that you can get pregnant. I also have read and heard from many people that birth control pills can be harmful to a baby if you are pregnant. So my question is how do you know to stop taking it if you dont know for sure your pregnant? Today she gave me a prescription for birth control. Only thing is my boyfriend and I want to get pregnant. She says I will only be on them for about 3 months to see if it helps regulate me. My period was done by Friday (11/16) but I didn't start taking my birth control again until Monday (11/19) and then again on Tuesday (11/20). When on traditional birth control, why is it that if you forget to take a pill one day (or two or three) there is a greater chance of getting pregnant... when the placebo pills at the end of the pack contain no hormones??? How does your body know the difference? I am asking because I am on Seasonale, the BC where you only get a period every three months. My placebo pills have 0.03 mg of hormones and the regular ones have 0.15 mg. But if the placebo pills are the equivilant of not taking anything in most birth control pills, what is the difference in your chances of getting pregnant by missing a pill or several pills, and intentionally not taking anything for 7 days during the placebo week? Wouldn't you technically be much more likely to get pregnant during the placebo week?

birth control/pregnancy issue.? I was told by my clinician to start birth control the day i got it. which was about 2 weeks before my period. I jsu started the thrid week of the active pills. but my period was supposed to start yesterday. Switching Birth Control (Pregnancy scare)? My girlfriend was on birth control for about three years. This last month she switched to Lo-Ovral or something like that. However, she says that she was supposed to get her period today and she did not. She does say, however, that she feels like she should have it because she says she feels "bloated" and she broke out a little which she says is common for her. Pregnancy/Birth Control Pills? I've been taking birth control pills for nearly 11 years and was switced from Ortho Cycline to Levora about 10 months ago. I've never had any side effects from any b/c pill I've taken, nor did I have any with Levora. For the past 3-4 days I've noticed my breasts have swollen/gotten larger and are very tender, I've had some stomach cramping/nausea, I've been fatigued, depressed, and have noticed some firming of my lower abdomen. I just finished a normal, but light and short period that ran from May 25-28 and am due for my next one in about 10 days. From what I understand it is too soon to have an accurate home pregnancy test since I haven't actually missed a period yet. I would be 2 weeks pregnant, if I am, and from what I've studied its a bit too soon for so many symptoms, unless my last period was in fact implantation bleeding. I had unprotected sex the 14th. (9days after starting the pills) I missed a pill on the 11th so I took 2 on the 12th. missed pills again on the 13th, 15th and 17th (haven't doubled up yet). I had sex the 14th, 15th, and 17th! (2 days being when I missed the pills). I looked online wat ovary pain ment because on the 15th I had a strong cramp in my left ovary that lasted 3 seconds-went a way for 5 mins then came back one last time for a few more seconds. Anyways I looked it up and it said their called "Mittelschmerz" it's when your ovary is realesing a egg! Could I have ovulated? Ive been peeing a lot more frequently since 7DPO (today is 9DPO). Some more symptoms im having are; slight cramping every once in awhile (usually on left side and middle-- feels like period but 'werid' like "pulling"), gassy, bloated, lower back pain, right side of breast is tender, moodyness. I just checked my cervix and it feels high and soft. i have a real runny nose and my head feels hot. Is this pregnancy or my pills?!! My CM is very wet/clear and inside is white-kinda like a lotion. I decided I wanted to change birth control methods and try the pill. Birth Control After Pregnancy? What birth control did you use after you had the baby? Here is my problems: Dr. says I am too young to get my tubes tied. My first child resulted in forgetting to take the pill My second child is the result of antibiotics making the BC not effective My Dr. Suggest an IUD, but I am finding a lot of bad side effects for them. Then I didnt start my period again until Sept 8th. (I had a doc appointment on Aug 30, my doc said my body was just getting used tobeing off the pills and it would come). I havent had a period since. I am trying to conceive so I used an ovulation predictor kit and it showed positive on Sept 22 so if it was right, I ovulated on Sept 23 or 24. So I expected my cycle was back to normal and figured I'd get my period around Oct 8, but here it is Oct 23 and nothing. Could it just be my cycle is still a little off since stopping the pill, (I only took it for like 2 months) or possibly pregnant? At home pregnancy tests are showing negative

Birth control / pregnancy question!! Women only PLZ? So, I have been on Yaz for about 5 months. I accidently missed a pill on the12th and 14th of this month but then took it immediately the next morning! I should have had my period by dec26th and I am supposed to start my new pack of pills today and still no period. This happend last month too minus the missing the pills and I waited for my period to come then started the next pack. We weren't planning on getting prego again til May but if it happens it happens. I just don't want to waste money by testing too soon. What do you think the chances were of me getting pregers the days I missed my pills, yes we had sex on th 13but not the 12th or 14th. birth control / pregnancy Q? I've been on the pill (Ortho - lo) for a little over 2 years now. Since I've been on it I've had kind of weird periods - one month I'll get it the first day of inactive pills and have a moderate flow for the whole week pretty much - but then the next month I won't get it till close to the end of the week, and will have a lighter flow. Last month was one of those long, heavier months so I was kind of expecting this month to be lighter. However, when I got it it was very very light, moreso then usual, and I only had it for a day - but I still got all my normal period symptoms like bloating, cramps, acne, pms, ect. I'm afraid I might be pregnant even though I have been on the pill for 2 years with no problems, and I always take my pills at the same time everyday, I never miss a pill because I set my phone alarm to go off to remind me to take it everyday. Is it normal to have really light, short periods sometimes? Could I be pregnant even though I did have some bleeding?

Took pills as directed, just period was mucho early. Reason im asking is because you get pregnant when you ovulate and have sex, if my period ended a week before the placebos, menas that I ovulated during the placebos, and since theres no hormones protecting during that week it could mean you can get pregnant right?

Zits, hormones, birth control...pregnancy? My acne is an almost no-fail predictor of when my period's coming: I get those really huge zits you can't pop if you try one week before starting. Last month, I was 2 days late, but so were the zits--that's how accurate they've been. This month, however, they're a week early. I've heard that hormones affect sebaceous glands and that water retention might lead to smaller pores, and I suspect given the types of zits and the fact that cleansers and medicines have no effect that time of month on those suckers, that it's more likely the smaller pore theory than extra oil. I went off the patch 4 months ago. Is it probably just my cycle getting back to its regular loopiness, or is there reason to believe, given the way hormones fluctuate after conception, that this could mean more? PS I KNOW I could go to the doctor. I want to hear others' experience and informed opinions before I take that step.

If you keep taking your birth control and don't know that your pregnant, what will happen? Will you 'lose' the baby? Will you still be pregnant? I've always been curious. I'm confused- I started birth control about a week ago, missed one day and then began bleeding heavily, took the two pills the next day and havent stopped taking them since, still bleeding a little. Could I still be pregnant? Before this I have been having unprotected sex since March (with my boyfriend) although I also got the Depo shot in March, which also caused uncontrolled heavy bleeding for months, and hair loss. But the Depo has worn off, and I only started the LowEvra about a week ago- in between he came inside me many, many times- now I am feeling neasous, mood swings, more hungry & tired in the morning and night .. I just noticed the naseau in the past three or four days .. could I be pregnant but still be bleeding? And what if its too early for a test to tell-should I stop taking the BC? I was told that you could still have your period while you were pregnant. Is that true? And if that is, then hcg wouldn't be recognized by pregnancy tests since that would stop the periods. Question about pregnancy while being on birth control: I've been pon the pill for a year now, and have normal periods. this last one had much different cramping- instead of sharp pains, more like tired muscle pains. The bleeding was much lighter and looked different. And when i started the pill again for next month, it made me really sick for days straight now. I know it's possible to get pregnant on the pill, i know the symptoms to normal pregnancy. I also know you can have some bleeding at the beginning of pregnancy that looks different from normal periods. i still have some slight abdominal discomfort and feel nauseas. just wondering if this has happened to anyone, or if there's any good advice out there.

She has been on birth control for one month. Well, she was told by her doctor that it takes one month for the pill to get into your system so for the first month to still use condoms. Well, on the last day of her first month's birth control pill (last day of hormone pill, before she started the sugar pills) she had unprotected sex and the guy ejaculated inside of her. Well, of course she was worried and she went a few days before her period actually started. A few people have told her that she still could be pregnant because of a few different reasons. One said that it might not matter since her period was scheduled for the day after she had the unprotected sex, since it was so close that the body had already prepared for the period so it automatically went into it and she could still be pregnant. period, birth control, and pregnancy? I have been married for a couple years. My husband and I decide to get off the pill. On January 13 I took my last pill and had a period Jan. 15-20. However, I have not had a period since then (48 days now). I have taken several pregnancy test and even went in for a blood test at 38 days so I know I am not prego right now. I know that I just haven't started my period due to coming off the pill and my body being confused. My question is if it is possible to get pregnant before having another period. I am not overly concerned with become pregnant, I know it will happen when it's supposed to, but I just hate that my body is not doing what it should be right now. Going Off Birth Control and Pregnancy? I was on BCP for 7yrs. I got off after finishing my June pack and having a period after that. LMP 6/21/06 and did not start taking the new pack in july. Even on the pill i would have an irregular cycle. I would start my period in the middle of the week and end it while I was already on the new set of active pills. I missed my cycle in July, but I didn't think anything of it. I was involved in a car accident and after just coming off the pill I figured I probably wouldnt get it. I took a home test on aug 13 because i wanted to start taking the pill again and it was neg. I began a new pack. I took it all the way through and around late aug/early sept I starting having pregnancy syptoms. on 9/12 I went to have an ultrasound done after testing postive on urine. and the tech told me i was 7 weeks along. She stud there amazed after me telling her my LMP was 6/21/06. which would have made me something like 12 weeks along instead of 7. is it really possible to miss a cycle and not be preg?

Pregnancy After Stopping Birth Control? I stopped birth control about two months ago. I had been on it for two years straight. I had two periods in one month right after I stopped taking them. The first period right after I stopped for about four days (normal) and the second for seven days about two weeks later. It's been almost a full month since my last period. Pregnancy on Birth Control?? Okay so I've been irregular as long as I can remember, so I never new when I was ovulating or if I even was. My doctor put me on birth control to regulate my periods. I'm on birth control, on Monday my husband and I had sex, we left on a trip on Friday and I realized I forgot my birth control pills so I missed Friday, and Saturday, could I get pregnant by having sex on that past Monday, even though I had been taking them regulary up until Friday? Pregnancy after birth control? PLEASE READ THIS? I had a D&C the day before thanksgiving, because my baby died at 8weeks and I was 12weeks along. I started taking birth control (Seasoneque, which is the better, newer version of seasonel) about two weeks after. Birth Control after a Molar Pregnancy? My husband and I have just gone through having a Molar pregnancy, and surgery and such. The doctor who preformed the surgery told me getting pregnant was not allowed for at least 6 months. I thought it was a year?! but we have no plans of getting pregnant for a while, as this pregnancy was a surprise!
