- No....and let me tell you why. Well first of all...all pills have side effects that can damage your body one way or another after several use. Another important thing is that having your period is the natural way for your body to get rid of bad stuff, nasties that your body does not need. Why do you think that women who don't have them anymore and have hot flashes and stuff feel so bad......because their body no longer has a way of getting rid of all that bad stuff. I mean seriously I don't think having a period is that bad. For me it's once a month for 4-5 days and then it's over. In fact, for me it's usually a great time....I get more energy on those days and I feel great. Well, after the first day of cramps and stuff. Sometimes I even feel like I want a period....I miss the feeling of energy and everything good that it brings. I would understand those girls that have it for 8 eights or so but still I wouldn't not have a period forever.
- Why would anyone on this earth use that? What if one day you decide hey I wanna have a kid... you wont be able too. I'd never use something like that. That's completely crazy. Just deal with your period women! seriously if its getting to be too much for you to handle take midol or some pain reliever but dont get rid of it.. thats just dumb
- yes, if i could still have kids, and be healthy, but if it has alot of health risk then no. although, not having periods would be nice
- I have done this for the past 3 years using the Nuva ring. I had extreme menstrual/hormonal migraines during my period, so my physician changed my dosing instructions to wearing ring for 3 weeks and then changing without a waiting week.....No period, no problems.
- I would most definitely use it. I have endometriosis and a history of cysts, so it's always painful when I get it, and I would love to only get a couple a year. I've read that a lot of people stopped because of breakthrough bleeding, but I go through times when I don't stop bleeding, like now, so it would be no different for me. But I think it is a beautiful thing and I have an appointment tomorrow, and plan to talk about it with my gyn.
- I find it perplexing. I had an ovarian problem that kept me from having more than a couple of periods a year in my teens and early 20's and my doctors told me that if I had less than 4 periods per year, I could develop uterine cancer later in life because my uterus wasn't cleaning itself. And I know that women that took the old fashioned 21on-7off pills for like 10 years or more did have problems conceiving when they finally tried to have babies in their 30's and 40's. They finally started telling women not to take bc pills for more than 7 years. Boils down to "Don't mess with Mother Nature."
- I hope women don't jump to take this pill. Typically, when these new drugs are introduced, the drug companies promote them as if they are something no one can possibly live without, then later on you hear that people have died or given birth to seriously disfigured babies. (Remember thalidomide, which women took for morning sickness then gave birth to babies with missing limbs?) I would never encourage anyone I love to take these "no period" pills at this time. No period, no way!!!
- I would not use it it's probally like all the other drugs 6 months from now something is wrong with it & eventhough I can't stand my period I believe it's important to have.
- The FDA’s approval of Lybrel, a new form of birth control, gives us another option to prevent unintended pregnancy and it makes it a lot easier for those of us who don’t want to have our period every month. Lybrel reduces the number of periods per year to zero or practically zero. (You may experience irregular, unpredictable bleeding while your body gets used to Lybrel and before periods are eliminated.) Lots of us wonder if it’s “okay” to not have a period — don’t worry — delaying or suppressing periods IS safe. Also, menstruation generally returns three months after you stop taking Lybrel. Lybrel is safe and effective in preventing pregnancy — up to 99.7 percent when used correctly. AND it offers relief from menstrual cramps, headaches, and other discomforts associated with periods. Guess what that means? We can focus more on enjoying sex and building our confidence, and less on the anxiety and stress that can come along with sex. At Planned Parenthood, we know that the best birth control methods are those that meet women’s needs. The more options we have, the better. - They need to stop playing God. He gave it to us for a reason wheather we like it or not....just deal.....!!!....Where does all the blood go when you are taking the pill it does not dissapear.....this is not safe.
