Best birth control methods after giving birth while breast-feeding?

I'm currently about 36 weeks, due December 5th. After my daughter's born I do plan to breastfeed exclusively. Are there any birth control pills that are more highly recommended for breastfeeding mom's? I'm going in for another check-up on Tueseday and will be talking to my doctor about it also.

3. when i breast fed the doctor told my that where a condom and him to and go to drug store and the is something called spermaside. that is what i did for 1 1/2 it worked for me.
4. Mirena IUD work best for me. I stop getting period after six month. I had mine for about 3 years now and it safe for breastfeeding mothers.

I am currently breast feeding. thats what i am using the only thing with that is,like other pills u miss a day u can take two pills. if u miss a day with ERRIN u are more likley to get pregnant so u have to be dedicated. but u an take the depo shot too. It doesn't hurt, no period, no harmful horomones passed on, no pill or patch to take or put on. It hasn't affected my milk supply, no mood swings no complications at all. 8. If you are EXCLUSIVELY breastfeeding and not having periods, breastfeeding itself is as effective as condoms for the first 6 months. If you are looking for hormonal birth control, progestin-only contraceptives are the preferred choice for breastfeeding mothers. DO NOT take a pill containing estrogen, especially in the first 6 mos.
9. I used Nordettes about one week after I gave birth and I breast fed my baby. I did not have any negative effects while I was on the pill. I was on the pill for about nine years and only went of it about two months ago. I am expecting baby number two early July 2007. So you don't have to wait long to conceive again. congrats & good luck.
10. My OB said that the "mini pill" (progesterone-only pill) will not interfere with lactation like regular birth control pills that contain estrogen. The drawback is that have to be more careful not to miss any doses and to take the pill at the same time every day in order for it to be effective.
11. I started birth control 7 weeks after I had my daughter. I started on the Errin tablets. I buy the generic ones. Their $7.00 and work well....I really like them they have not changed the way I feel at all, and in no way have effected my milk supply. Any progesterone only pill will be fine and safe...you just can't take a b/c pill that has estrogen because thats what keeps you from making milk.
