- if in plan water, yes condoms will work fine Though I think chlorine in pools will damage it, and I don't know about salt water from the ocean .... but neither is good for the male's parts. After he ejaculates, a small vaccuum is created, and will suck in a little bit of water, which ican easily cause infections.
- Hi, I found this website that seems like it answers a lot of questions about condom use and other safe sex questions. Your question is on there, so I put a link to it. Bottom line, it looks like there isn't any good research, but they can't guarantee that chlorine, lubricant, oil in the pool or salt water won't damage the condom. I put the Wikepedia information on there also, just because it goes into so much detail and does mention something about water-based lubricants degrading certain types of condoms. So, what the condom is made of is probably a big factor as well. I tried some other websites - even ones you think would have the answer and I can't find it. I can't believe it's this difficult to find out what must be such a common question! I hope you are able to find out. After what I just read - I'd be scared to take the chance... Good luck :)
