  1. a small percentage of women can get pregnant on anything.
  2. no you cant because its the birth control stop the eggs
  3. the only 100% effective method of birth control is abstinence. people have even gotten pregnant after having their tubes tied. it is really unlikely but possible.
  4. Yes! apparently you can! I just found out a couple of days ago about a woman who is 45 years old, had & IUD & is now expecting a BABY! Take care!
  5. My sister-in-law just had a healthy baby boy while she was on the IUD. She also had her daughter while on Norplant. The chances are really slim though that you will get pregnant while using the IUD. My sister-in-law is just a baby machine.
  6. Birth Control, is Birth Control, not Birth Stopper
  7. not likly but good luck if you are trying . i would have it taken out first then try it .you stand a better chance that way. good luck. oh yeah it could cause a tubular pregnancy which is rather serious but talk to your doctor and see what he has to say.
  8. Yes you can. I have the IUD and i am still extremely careful. That 99.9% can happen to anyone. My friend from another group got pregnant with an IUD. Everything was fine for her, but she had to have it removed before it caused an infection for her and her baby. Good luck
  9. Yes, you still can get pregnant with the IUD. I did in with the Mirena IUD in November and I'm due with my second boy in August. Doctors recommend taking the IUD out, although I've heard of some leaving them in as per the patient's request because there is a 25% chance of miscarriage after removal (I decided to have mine removed). Also, there a higher chance of ectopic pregnancy because the hormones of the IUD usually prevent the egg from implanting in the uterus. If you have the IUD and think you may be pregnant, you should definately go to the doctor to be examined and to discuss your options.
