- your doctors office probably has an on-call service 24 hours a day to answer that question.
- Many years ago I also had an IUD. I had no heavy bleeding everything was normal until about 6 months later. I had very heavy bleeding and bad cramping. I went to the emergency room and they found that the copper 7 IUD had punctured the uturine wall and had to be removed. I would get in contact with your doctor and let them check to be sure that the IUD is in the right place. It could be possible that you might have to have a different IUD put in. Good Luck :-)
- yes, its normal to have bleeding after the insertion of an IUD. Make sure you are taking some Iron Pills (Slow FE is a nice brand because it doesn't constipate you like other Iron pills). I'd call the doctor to be sure on Monday. You may be one of the 10% of people that can't tolerate an IUD. I hated mine and had it removed after 3 straight months of bleeding. Other friends of mine just love it. Its easier to get it taken out, compared to the procedure for putting it in. Good luck!
- NO ITS NOT NORMAL.. CALL YOUR DOCTOR ASAP.. MINE DID THE SAME THING TO ME. AND THEY ENDED UP TAKING IT OUT.. TRY ANOTHER FORM OF BIRTH CONTROL .. TRUST ME! THIS IUD WILL GIVE YOU ON GOING PROBLEMS. :(
- Its normal its a foreign object in your body and your body us trying to get rid of it by bleeding and flushing it out. At the time of insertion you may restart your cycle and many women complain they will get their period again. If you go more than a week with heavy bleeding I would go to the Dr and if the cramping worsens. Now by heavy what do you mean? are you having to change your pad every 2-3 hours?
