birth control side effects are too much!?
hm...help me please,..women who've expirienced Breakthrough bleeding on BC? is it possible when FIRST starting birth control to have breakthrough bleeding..ive only been taking it for 8 days now...the blood is sometime slightly present when i wipe, once it was fairly decent enough to need a panty liner, but other than that i only seen it if i used a tampon to check for blood, its very little amount and in the same place on the tampon... what im asking is it normal to bleed so little its only noticable when i use a q-tip to check for blood? its just barely blood on there..but bright red, sometimes a red/pink color

- I think that if you are using a q-tip to check....you are WAY too freaked out over this. Why did you decide to go on birthcontrol? Your headline suggest you are worried about the side effects---there are natural methods that are just as effective when used properly (to avoid pregnancy, not std's). Natural Family Planning is one. Relax. Call your doctor tomorrow if you are really concerned.
- I agree with Michelle. Why not try a natural method? Birth control pills, IUD's, patches and all other methods that use hormones can have some pretty bad side effects. Not to mention that the woman is the one who suffers and bears all the responsibility. Natural Family Planning is fertility awareness to achieve or delay a pregnancy and BOTH husband and wife participate in the method. That strikes a blow for equality! Plus, there are NO side effects. Very healthy for the woman.
- Plz dont use pills...i personally dont recommend them,my SIL had used it during her first year of marriage and she too had bleeding and after that when she wanted a baby, the baby wasnt strong enuf and she was firced in for an abortion, after that now its been 11 years that she has been trying for a kid and now she doesnt get one...use condoms instead they are much safer!i use them too
- You've only been using BC pill for 8 days now. If you did as the doctor suggested you started taking them the (usually) Sunday after you started. Depending on the type of BC pills you are on you WILL continue to get your period monthly. If you are using the ones that you only get your period every 3 months YES you will get spotting. Because that is what you have "Spotting". But I agree if this bothers you you should see your Dr. right away.
- stop taking them don't take anymore pills until u can talk to your Dr. just stop taking them
