what are the best birth control methods?

what are the best birth control methods that will protect me and in the same token won't make me gain too much weight or act so moody.. plzz help i've never used birth control before i have 2 kids already and i had a scare this month soo no more scares..lol plzz help.. thankx

1. Abstinence! Nothing works better!
2. I use the pill never had any problems w/ it.
3. Nuva Ring. I used it for 2 or 3 years. No weight gain. Very easy to use. No worries about forgotten pills. Ask your Dr. about it or just google it.
4. Other than abstinence (which I am sure your husband will not like) I guess a condom. I was on Ortho and it made me gain 50 lbs. It worked for a while. I lost some weight and then got my tubes tied and gained the weight back. But now I can have sex with my hubby and there are NO more scares.
5. As long as you're compliant about taking them, birth control pills are the number one form of birth control, hands down (unless you want to get a tubal ligation). I didn't gain any weight at all on them, and had much lighter periods when I was taking them than when I was off them for any reason. You might want to consider one of the types of pills that allows you to have only four periods a year; they have 12 weeks of "active" pills, followed by one week of no pills, during which you have a period. I took them when I started getting migraines just before my period and my doctor wanted to minimize the number of episodes I had; they're also very useful for women who bleed heavily, and in general for women who simply don't want to have to deal with all that comes with a menstrual period every four weeks. The brand name that I know of is Seasonale, but there are probably others. Talk with your doctor.
6. Nuva Ring is the best contraceptive ever in my opinion, it is very convenient for people that cant take a pill at the same time everyday and also its very low on hormones however this does not mean that its less effective this was the first type of contraceptive method used then i tried the pill andhated it it gave me side effects such as strong nausea and headaches every single day after taking it and the ring gas never given me side effects. I think its great in many ways...good luck with your decision and i hope i've helped you.
