birth control/pregnancy question. please help!?

alright so the other night me and my boyfriend had sex, and i'm on birth control and we didn't use a condom because we didn't have one. but i figured it'd be fine then the next day was my "mid cycle" day on the pill and while i was at work i started getting terrible cramps, like i had to sit down. and then i went to the bathroom and checked and i was spotting a little. and i've been doing it nonstop since then (which was yesterday) and when i talked to the doctor she said that if i'm under a lot of stress (which i am) then the pill has to work extra hard to fight off ovulating and that i may or may not have ovulated while i was mid-cycle. so is there any possibility that i could be pregnant? and if so, how long til i would be able to tell by a pregnancy test if i was pregnant? like when should i take it? i only got 2 answers last time, so please help! oh, and i was also on antibiotics for 10 days, i didn't even think about that because the doctor didn't tell me anything about the antibiotics affecting my birth control!

  1. If your doctor said there is a chance you ovulated, you could very well get pregnant. You should wait until you miss your period to take a pregnancy test. If it comes up negative and your period is still not shown up, wait a few days and try again. Or you can go to your doctor and get a blood test done.
  2. If you had sex you could be pregnant. Chances are you just irritated something and are fine. Wait about 7 days and take a test.
  3. Once you miss your period, take the test. I did have cramping often when I should have been ovulating, but wasn't since I was on the pill. Also after sex it is common to, on occasion, have a little spotting. Don't worry too much. Wait a little while and test. good luck!
  4. Why didn't you ask the doctor. That's what they are there for.
  5. If you just had sex, there is absolutely no way you'd already be experiencing any pregnancy symptoms. You could have some slight cramping/spotting if you are pregnant and the embryo implants, but that doesn't happen until at least one week after having unprotected sex. It's possible you're pregnant, but you need to wait until the first day of your missed period to test (aka the 2-week wait).
  6. There is always a possibility that you could pregnant. They say you can take the test up to 4days before your missed period. So, if you were mid-cycle, my thought would be that you could wait 3-4weeks and take the test. Good Luck! **Anti-Biotics can make your birth control less effective. You can always go and get the morning after pill from a local free clinic just to be on the safe side.
  7. If you ovulated you might have a chance but I dont think its a very high chance. You'll have to wait till your period is due before you'll know if your pregnant. My little sister got pregnant on the pill she tested the day after she was due since on the pill you know whne you are due exactly. I was on the pill 5 years and never used a condom and Never had a problem!
  8. Oh dear......oh well kids are gr8 fun!
  9. i have had spotting several times while taking the pill and have never gotten pregnant, however i didn't trust the pill knowing a few people who have gotten pregnant while taking the pill and also knowing that the pill doesn't work while your on anti-biotics, i stopped taking the pill and i now get a contraceptive injection called depo-provera every three months and it's great, u don't get a period at all. I would say your risk of being pregnant is very low but if your worried then take a pregnancy test anytime.
  10. Your going to have to learn that even though it's fun to do that kind of stuff that it's only going to hurt You cause it's a sin against God and Your own body. It's just going to cause you more pain than you can imagine. sorry I can't help You, but I know someone that can! http://www.yoursforlife.net/alpha/
