seasonale birth control and pms?
so i'm on the birth control that only gives you a period every 3 months and i was wondering if you can still get pms on it. and if so, do you get it when you would normally get it, like right before i WOULD have been on period if i wasn't on the birth control? because how would your body know to wait three months to have pms? i'm just wondering because it seemed like i might have had some pms mood swings/ appetite changes the weeks before i would have gotten my period. i'm due for a period this week and have been kind of emotional this past week as well but it doesn't really make sense. anyone else on that sort of birth control? how does it affect pms?

- I was on that one for a year and a half - The first 3 months are kinda wild - your body wants to get a period so you get all your symptoms but no period (maybe some spotting). The last week before finally getting my period I was an emotional wreck! After that first pill pack though, I was just fine :o)
- If you find that this particular pill is making your pms worse, you may want to look into Yaz. Yaz had been approved by the FDA last year for treating PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder), a very severe type of PMS. I have PMDD, and I take Yaz strictly to keep it under control. Talk to your doctor if you are having problems. With any bcp you can skip periods by just continuing taking the active pills and not taking the placebo ones.
- I used to get really bad pms when I was on ortho-tricyclen. I've been on Seasonale now for 4 years, and never had pms. I love it!
