How long do birth control side effects last?

1. you dont have to stop and wait...you can change your pill anytime you want.....just ask for the same measurments of the hormone.
2. I have never taken Yaz, but in my experience the side effects from the pill usually subside in a week or two. If the side effects last more than a couple of weeks or are more severe than would be considered normal and are causing distress then I would suggest that you call your doctor.
3. Use it for several months, I would say at least 4 months before switching. Talk about it with your doctor. Birth control is hormones so no matter which pill you are on, you will be "hormonal".
4. They could last till way after you get off of the pill. I am on Kariva. on it for over a year, NO side affects!
