Birth Control/ Pregnancy Concern! Please Help ASAP!?
I started taking birth control (loestrin 24 fe) for the first time exactly a month from tomorrow. I was pretty good about taking my pills on time, but about twice i forgot to take the pill and ended up taking it about 5 hours later. Today I took the last of the 4 brown pills and for the past 3 days during the brown pills i had a brown discharge (so im assuming this was my period and it means that the pills are working?). Today me and my boyfriend had sex without a condom and he didnt pull out fast enough and ejaculated inside of me. I really would like to know if I should be concerned about pregnancy. If anyone could answer me it would be great. I'm really worried.

- Usually the pill is effective after a week, and definitely after a month. You should be fine.
- You are the least fertile when you are on your period. So you should be fine. I have had the same thing happen to me and i did not get pregnant.
- You can always get pregnant with unprotected sex. The pill is not 100% preventive, especially if you are on antibiotics.
- Typically you'r safe for the first week after your period, after that you could have started ovulation. It's hard to say, after that without knowing your time lines. You do know that after you stop taking birth control it can reduce the chances of getting pregnant and having a healthy child?
