when do i put on birth control patch again?

i'm always confused about this, i know i'm supposed to use birth control patch the first day of the period when i start to use'em, and use it for 3 weeks then 4th week is for period, let's say if i started use it on monday, do i put on patch the 5th week of monday? and also, this time, my period started 5 days after i took my patch off, and do i wait till my period ends to put my patch back on? or jus a week after i took my patch off?
