What is the best birth control pill? I am currently switching to Lutera.?

I am on ortho tricyclen lo so far, I like it because it is well known, and it has helped my skin and i havent gained weight. It has made me a little nauseas though so I have been switched to lutera, I have never even heard of it so I was wondering if anyone could tell me their experience with Lutera, or a better birth control pill to switch to, I was thinking of yaz or seasonale. I would love not to have my period every month, so Lybrel didnt seem so bad either. Someone let me know what they think please. besides abstinence.I am trying to be serious and get some serious advice on birth control pills.

  1. The one that keeps you from getting preggers is the best.
  2. oh um.. ask your doctor
  3. Abstinence. Stop having sex young lady!
  4. The best birth control - pill or otherwise - is abstinence. I'm single but from what I've heard, marriage is a close runner-up.
  5. actually aspirin is the best birth control pill as it has no side effects, just hold a tablet tightly between your knees. Works like charm... hope that helped...
  6. Seasonale is wonderful, at least in my opinion. It takes a bit to get used to though, I was nauseated for the first month or so but after that no problems. It's nice to only have 4 periods a year rather than 12. Also it's nice because if you do happen to miss one pill you don't have to use a backup birth control, but any more than that and you have to be careful. The packaging explains it all throughly which is a great bonus. Only bad thing is that if you don't have prescription insurance it will cost anywhere from $120 to $160 for a three month supply.
  7. First off I'd like to say I'm sorry that most people are being wise asses when they answer your question. I personally like Yaz. My period was MUCH shorter than it used to be and wasn't heavy at all. I also used the patch which was good too because you don't have to remember to take your pill each day! My doc told me Seasonale can cause break through bleeding so I didn't choose that route. Personally I'd like to know when I should have a period and not let it just "sprout" out of nowhere! I hope you find one you like!
