- I used to and I always really liked it. The first pack I had breakthrough bleeding around 2 months. The last month I had to take an extra week for vacation reasons and my body didn't really appreciate that either. Some people say it's not healthy because your body needs a period, but if you aren't ovulating (which you shouldn't be on the pill), you don't need to have a period. It cleared up my hormonal acne as well.
- Its ok not to have a period every month b/c the pill is preventing the uterine lining from building up which is why you would need to shed it monthly (or have a period). With this type you let yourself have a period every 3 months instead of monthly. RN
- You can tricycle (take three packets back to back) of any contraceptive pill, as long as it is monophasic (has the same dose of hormones every day throughout the month). My doctor tells me to do it because I have really bad asthma when I get my period. So you don't necessarily need Seasonale to do it, I have done it with Diane 35, Marvelon, Microgynon and Yasmin. Breakthrough bleeding can be a problem and I think lots of women on Seasonale complain about it too. There is no health implications whatsoever of skipping periods, the only reason we have "monthly" breaks is the co-creator of the pill thought that not only would women like it because it felt "natural" but also the Catholic Church was more likely to accept it if it didn't interrupt a woman's "monthlies" (fat chance).
- I was on it for 2 years, switched to 2 other drugs, then switched back. I LOVE this pill. It works great. I sometimes have some spotting, but it's not bad. Much better than having a period every 4 weeks!
- i use it and i love it! why get it every month when you can get it 4 times a year?
