Lybrel causing herpes outbreak?

I started taking lybrel about 7 days ago. Since then, I've had a herpes outbreak. Ive had herpes for like 6 years now. But I have never had an outbreak since. So my question is are there any other people out there who have taken lyrel and had an outbreak? Also, I've become really moody and letting things stress me out quite a bit since taking it. Has this happened to anyone else?

1. I haven't taken lybrel. So i can't help you. But I am on valtrex for herpes and it works wonders. I haven't had an outbreak 4 about 6 months now and i used to get them quite frequently. So maybe go to your doctor and ask to be put on valtrex if you continue to have herpes breakouts. But i would wait a month or two and see if it settles down, as herpes can appear with hormonal changes and stress. Goodluck.
2. certian things can trigger outbreaks. i have never used Lybrel. maybe its just not working for u any more, u may have built up some anti bodies towards it. the moodyness and stress could be a side affect of the Lybrel. try not to stress out too much cause that can trigger outbreaks as well. i had my outbreaks suppressed by a natural path doctor and take valtrex when i get symptoms of an outbreak. i also stay away from foods that can trigger outbreaks. i have been outbreak free since october 2007.
3. It's possible that the hormonal changes that it causes can trigger and outbreak, if it continues consult your dr about changing meds.
