Had my tubes tied. Is it wierd to want to take Lybrel to prevent periods?

My periods are OUT of CONTROL - like over 7 days long. So So heavy. . . The first day, I soak through overnight pads during the day within an hour or so. I don't need a period. I have my tubes tide. I wanted to take this Lybrel. Are the SIDE EFFECTS the same as the REGULAR pill?

1. The side effects generally are the same as the regular pill. But, each pill affects each person differently - you need to try it to know for sure. It isn't strange at all to want to loose your periods. More and more girls and women are going period free. I enjoy being without mine - you just don't have to worry about it each month.
2. Yeah, the side effects are just the same as the regular pill, because they are the same medication. Some people will have problems, but most have none at all. It's perfectly reasonable to want to get rid of your periods (even if your tubes are tied), I only have 3 or 4 a year and it's great!
