What is the best birth control method out there, which one have you had the most success with?
In the next few weeks, I am going to have to start thinking about birth control. Which one do you highly reccomend and which one would you say is not a good idea. I noticed today that they are selling sponges again. Other than the sponge, which one do you reccommend? LoL@Tom. I am sure that my husband would sort of agree with you at the moment.

- Vasectomy is the best after you have had your family.
- I think that Depo-Provera is a very good form of Birth control you only take it once every three months as a needle so you don't have to worry about remembering to take it, if you have a bad memory.
- A combination of different birth controls is the best birth control if you're going to be having sex. Probably just the pill and condoms are enough though.
- 1.Abstinence 2.Depo 3.IUD
- I use the ring. You can't feel it at all and there is nothing to remember. You just leave the ring (a small flexible ring) in your vagina for 3 weeks, and then take it out and you start your period that week. I can't remember to take pills, I'm scared of shots, and the patch left marks all over me. It took me a year or so to find what was best for me. Make sure your using condoms too because birth control doesn't protect against STD's. Hope this helped.
- I was on the pill for almost 9 years and had no problems. As long as you can remember to take the pill around the same time everyday, then it's a very effective method. I know it causes weight gain in some people, but I didn't experience that at all. You may just have to try a few types of birth control before you find one that works best for you!
- the shots can blow you up or make you loose your hair DO NOT TRY! I'm a fan of the pills. This is obviously a question for your doctor because all contraceptives have side effects and what may be good for me may not be good for you!
- i think the best one that worked for me is the mirena (DUI) its inserted into you and stays there for up to 5 years and if you want to take it out early you can and you can try to have children if that's what you want it really has worked for me the really great thing about it is most woman don't get there period on it i haven't had mine for 1 yr i love it i have two children but when i wanted to get my tubes tied they told me they didn't think that was a good idea seeing i was only 22 and they thought i wanted to have more children but i love it haven't gotten pregnant since
- The other day, I was quietly enjoying a Venti Americano at my outdoor, neighborhood STARBUCKS. This woman pushed her screaming 2 year old child up to the next table and . . . there goes my peaceful Sunday morning. She catered to her child, smiling and acting as if it was "so cute and adorable" that he was wailing like a fire alarm. That's the only birth control I needed, thanks. LMAO!! :)
- I have tried more than a little b/c things-the pill(depression and swelling), the nuva ring(body kept rejecting it), Depo(I was on my "period" basically for all but 3 weeks of the 9 months I was on it), a different pill(made me ill), condoms(was allergic to latex until after I had my daughter, which was really weird), cream(caused vaginitis), and didn't even want to bother with the sponge. So, after I had my son, who is my second child, and my fifth pregnancy, I made the decision to get my tubes tied. Now if only my man would get his tied, but don't get me started on that. B/C for a lot of women is just a matter of testing to see what works. All the best to you.
- Place your knees together and clinch. (can I say that?) It works for my wife.
