- i've been taking if for 7 years and feel great. only side effects PERSONALLY are no cycle.
- After I got the shot my arm was a little swolen but it went away. The major side effects were the weight gain. For the first few weeks I felt a little queezy as well but eventually that subsided.
- it goes in the butt muscle and it hurt for a few days after it is a hormone so it has the potential to cause you to gain weight just like the pill. i gained 11 lb's between shot one and shot 2. i quit after shot 3 b'c i didn't want to pork out. also some insurances won't cover it depending on how it's coded. sometimes if the doc codes it as birth control ins won't pay, if it's coded as being for endometriosis prevention/treament ins will pay. go figure.
- I felt fine after getting it, little sore at the shot spot. However, it made my sex drive non-existant and I was moody alot. Happened to my friend too.
- It was great not having a period every month, but the weight gain became a problem.
- I had non-stop bleeding, crampy, moody, irritable, headaches. I felt horrible and disgusting the whole time I took it( 4 months). They say you can spot for the first few months, mine was everyday and like a medium flow period. My bleeding never stopped or got lighter. I had to stop taking it. Some people can take it without side effects or with little side effects, for me it was a nightmare.
