Birth control after pregnancy?

I'm due to have my baby in a month and a half and I've been thinking about what type of birth control I want to take when my child is born, I can't take the pill because I am on my period constantly, I'm leary about the depo shot, but I want something EFFECTIVE any suggestions?

1. I was the same way, unable to take the pill...didn't like the idea of depo, didn't want to bother with sponges or caps so I opted for the Mirena IUD. It's T shaped, small flexible plastic that is inserted through your cervix and into your uterus where it will release a daily dose of birth control, the hormones are a low dose so you don't get spazzy and it can stay in place for up to 5 years. Most women also stop getting their periods a few months after using this. I have had mine since September 2004 and my periods stopped completely in June 2005. 2. Yeah I wouldn't recommend depo provera. http://www.rateitall.com/t-330-birth-control-methods.aspx Taking the pill can probably HELP with the being on your period constantly. Talk to your doctor about options (tell him NO to depo!). I'm on Kariva and love it (pill).
