Pregnant or just birth control pill side effects?
I've been sexually active. I just started taking birth control 13 days ago and since its day 13 out of 28 I know my period isn't coming. And even though he came in me 10 days after starting taking the pills there is still precum all throughout the days i started the pills. A few days ago I vomited out of no where. My boobs are so sore. I feel tired and exhausted. Even moody mostly crabby. Just me? The pills? Or could I be pregnant?

- If you started taking the pills as directed properly then you should be ok.. however you should have used a backup method until a month after taking them. Remember the pill is not 100% effective so chance of pregnancy is still there. it could be just the pill but they only way to find out is by waiting until you next period is due
- could be the pills or u could be pregnant. the only way to really know is to take a pregnancy test... i know when i started the birth control pills i felt nausea and my boobs hurt since ur body is getting used to the intake of hormones that are in them. again, take a pregnancy test- best way to know.
- I would bet on pregnancy since you didn't even give the pills a chance to come into effect. You are supposed to still use a back up method until you've been on the pill a month. Take a test soon and see how it comes out. I can't really tell you the exact answer.
- It's probably just the pills. Since you just started taking them, it's going to take some time for your body to get used to the pills and the hormones that they contain. It's unlikely, though not impossible, that it would be pregnancy - symptoms probably would not show this early on. If you are worried, wait until your period is supposed to come. If it doesn't, take a test. Also note that you are protected after you take the pill for 7 days (assuming that you did not start taking the pill the first day of your period - if that was the case, you would be covered from that day) so no, you don't necessarily have to use a back-up method for the first month as has been previously stated. See the link below - scroll down to where it mentions quick-start, regarding the 7 active pills rule. Also other good info on how the pill works.
- After a week of taking the pill you are protected. Oh my god, I remember having this conversation with my best friend. The day after our Junior Prom she calls me up balling because her and her boyfriend had sex after prom and the condom broke. Luckily she was past the first week. you should be fine but if you don't get your period this month then I'd take a pregnancy test.
- Uh oh.. do you like children? First things first... you shouldn't have unprotected sex while starting the pill. The birth control pill takes 3 months to regulate in your system, therefore for the first 3 months, still use condoms. This doesn't sound good but doing the math, its way to early for you to be experiencing any pregnancy symptoms. Unless you got pregnant before you started the pills. It very well could be the pills though. Finish out your pack and wait for your period to come. If you haven't gotten your period after a week of being off the pills go get a pregnancy test from your local grocery store or pharmacy. And please remember: Use condoms for the next 3 months!!
