How to get rid of the marks that the birth control patch leaves on your skin?
Ive been using the Othro Evra patch for about 4 months, as i change my patch weekely i noticed that the patch is leaving an outline mark of the patch on my skin. its almost like a "band-aid" mark but its permenent. is there any way to prevent these marks are some way to make them go away?

- you said they are permanent so no.
- get a tattoo over them.
- sandpaper
- I had the same problem when I used it. Be sure to change the spot you use each month (even if you just alternate butt cheeks or something like that), and be certain to use a really good moisturizer in the area (AFTER you've removed the patch), as well as being certain that all the adhesive stuff comes off of your skin as soon as you take it off. This will help, but it won't get rid of the spots. The patches aren't permanent, though, as mine went away a couple of months after I quit using the patch.
- I had that same problem when I was using those patches. Maybe you should switch birth control. That's what I did and the marks went away after like three weeks or so.
- Maybe if you switch places the other mark will go away. I would also maybe suggest using like a soak while the patch is not on. Maybe like just have a warm washcloth with a soak product on it and just kinda hold it there on the spot. It might help your skin. When you have the patch on there, there are some areas that do not get air and your skin needs to breathe, So Im sure that if you have some time with no patch there it will probably go away. :)
- cocoa butter
- I had to use a patch for blood pressure meds while I was pregnant and it left a mark on my arm. I tried some things and the only thing that worked for me was "Black Soap" Ultra Glow. You could buy it at Walgreen's or even Walmart. Its in the black products section. It evens out the other marks you may have on your skin also without worrying about getting sun damage like bleaching cream can do.
