Has anyone experienced weight gain from the birth control patch?

I am switching from the shot to the patch today and comparing the two. I gained a lot of weight from the shot so hoping this wont happen with the patch.

1. you dont gain as much weight with the patch. the needles are the worst for that.
2. I had a girlfriend once who took birth control and gained wieght and had constant pain from them, thats why I convinced her to discontinue them
