Lybrel birth control pills and upper respiratory infections?

It says on the website and in the patient pamphlet that Lybrel can make you more prone to upper respiratory infections (it was one of the more commonly reported side effects in clinical trials), but it does not state anywhere what it is about Lybrel that can cause you get the infection. Does anyone know how Lybrel causes this?

  1. I think you should see a professional about your OCD with medical conditions (this is the second question that is worded almost the same!). If you are that concerned about this talk to your doctor not strangers on the internet!
  2. no, I don't, but birth control pills are not healthy period. Don't take them! Just use a condom.
