How soon after taking birth control will side effects show up?
I just started taking Sprintec Birth control pills today. I was wondering how long after you start taking them do they start to show side effects (ie...bleeding). Also, I took it at 2:30 today. When they say you have to take it at the same time everyday, will a 20 or 30 minute difference hurt anything? Thanks

- No, it won't really make a different and they side effects can show up at anytime.
- Give it a good month to settle in
- After a month you will have a light to medium period. Spotting can occur at any time though. & I wouldn't recommend taking it 30 minutes after your set time.
- no 20 minutes wont hurt any. and id recommend taking it at a later time because you wont have the nausea symptoms as bad. but the symptoms can start with in two or three days. they start real soon. but when i took mine in the afternoon (same time as u after i got out of school) i had real bad nausea. i asked my doctor if it was normal and if i could switch pills and she said that i will have the symptoms with all pills in the beginning of first using Birth Control. she said try taking it at night it will calm down so i did and it worked. :D
