If a girl is pregnant and gets a birth control shot, what happens?
like, if she hadn't even reached the point of the missed period yet, and she got a birth control shot, would that affect the baby?

- Nope, the baby isn't harmed at all. Birth control (and emergency contraception aka "the morning after pill") work the same way. They prevent the ovaries from releasing an egg. If they've already released an egg, and that egg is fertilized, a woman can still become pregnant, and the fetus is unharmed. There are just extra hormones in the bloodstream that prevent ovaries from releasing eggs. An unborn child is not affected by these hormones.
