Starting birth control pills after pregnancy?

I am 7 weeks post partum. My doctor put me on Femcon FE(birth control pills). The packaging says to take it either on day 1 of my period or start on the Sunday of my period. I havent started my period yet. Can I just start taking it when I want to, or will that not be a good idea.

1. I would call the doctor and ask them. I was on my period when I went and got my birthcontrol so I started that day (I think I was day 2 but they said to go ahead). I think if you start them at the wrong time it can mess your cycle up.
2. i think u should not take now u can wait for ur period if u have excitment then u go ur doctor nd take some injection for coming period then u can start this pills easly no problem same problem i have some months back but now ok.
