How do birth control pills work, and do they hinder anything?
I've heard that they thicken the entrance into the cervix, making it difficult for sperm to get through... and I also heard that while taking birth control pills, all menstrual bleeding doesn't come out. I'm very curious as to what the real answers are. Thanks!!

- I was always told that the pills trick your body into thinking it is pregnant, so you never ovulate.
- I took ortho tri cyclin (spelled wrong) and it made me a cranky, cranky woman.... Never felt that "turned-on" feeling, but I didn't know that it was the pill making me feel that way until I went off it. I love having those "lovin' feelings" again!!!!!! The pill STINKS!!!! (for me, anyway)
