How long after taking antibiotics does it take for birth control pills to be completely effective again?

I take yaz, which is an oral controceptive. Not to long ago I got sick and had to take a round of antibiotics. I know that antibiotics can effect the effectivness of birth control pills. So my question is how long after I stop taking the antibiotics is it safe to stop using a backup method of birth control?

4. I would ask your doc. because different anitibiotics could make your body react differently then others. Also the anitibiotics could stay in your body longer then it says to take them. You might also check webmd.
