My friend missed a couple of birth control pills last month but she takes Lybrel so she has no periods...?

Well she started taking the pills again right away. About a week later she started spotting and then it progressed into a light medium period. Any possible way of her being pregnant and still bleeding or does it sound like a side effect of missing those two days? The bleeding has lasted for 11 days total and is getting lighter now. She is going to go see the doctor but she just wanted some feedback in the meantime. Maybe other experienced users.

1. If you stop taking your pills spotting is the normal side effect. Sooner or later it will stop. Remember to see your doctor always!
2. Any change in the hormone intake (like missing pills), can cause the body to act weird...like break-through bleeding. I would say it's normal, but yeah, she should see her doctor anyway, to rule out any other causes.
