IUD birth control, your thoughts? from pro-life people, please.?
i wanted to use the iud birth control, cause i have two kids a boy and just had my girl 5 weeks ago and as of right now do not want anymore. i like the idea is has no hormones and you can have it in there for up to 10 yrs. my OB/GYN told me is was a great birth control. but this is how it works, when the iud is inside your uterus is causes your uterus not be a safe environment. but there is still a chance the sperm and egg can meet in the fallopian tube and start multiply, when it gets in the uterus there is no place for it to implants itself, so then it goes with your period. so im having a hard time on what to think about this? im pro-life, and not sure if i would consider this murder or not? i mean the cells have already started to multiple, but idk im confused on my own thoughts.

- there is one that has hormones in it that would eliminate the sperm meeting the egg i thought. either way i dont think its a concern until it is implanted. until then its like any ball of cells like a cyst maybe. its not considered a miscarriage until after its implanted so i think you would be ok pro life or not.
- i dont know, thats a hard one. Another way to see it is that it doesnt matter whats being done to prevent, if GOD wants you to have a baby you will! me and a group of ladies from church were talking about that and someone said that (about vasectomies) i had never thought of it that way. GOD BLESS!!!!!!!
- Well, you aren't technically pregnant until the embryo attaches itself to the uterine wall. In fact, without any form of birth control, it is possible for the sperm to meet the egg and still not attach itself to the wall. The implantation is the fertilization process that makes it a pregnancy. And also, I had an IUD for two years (it was good for ten, but we decided to try for our third) It was great birth control, not difficult to have inserted, and less difficult to have removed. No complications, no daily task. It's great for on the go moms, and people who aren't interested in hormones. (make sure you request the copper IUD, some others do release hormones.) Good luck with your decision, I hope I helped.
- I'm pro-life, used the non-hormonal IUD for 3 years before I took it out in October. If you aren't ever pregnant, you can't be murdering life. I think you are too concerned about the minute details. Go for it!
- First i want to say i don't know the % but i read somewhere that some much % of eggs and sprem start to multiple and never attach i remember i thought that was ALOT...i'll try to look it up and add to this...but i don't think it's murder myslef....but now i'm going to say i had an iud and it was a PAIN in the umm let's say uterus....It made my time of the month hurt ALOT more and everytime u make love u have to check it and after ur time of month u have to check it... I also got pg on it due to the fact that it had moved some. I'm now 30 weeks the first 15 weeks were VERY scary because of the chance of lossing the baby. I had to have the iud removed or leave it in and have a BIG chance of lossing the baby. I WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER IUD
- I had a bad experience with the maraina IUD, it was painful and I didnt stop bleeding it had to be removed 3 weeks after implanted, however, the chances of a tubal pregnancy are not high but are there, when that happens, the baby has to be removed or it and you could both die, i have several family members who that happened naturally too. in most cases the baby had demised weeks before they new it was a tubal , in the case here the baby was still thriving the mother was about to bleed to death when drs had to make the choice what to do. just read up on it I know womwen that love the device and have had no problems, and several like me who had issues with it (BTW i also had som serious PMS and a tender uterus which dr said was the problem.
- I use an IUD called INPLANON http://www.implanon-usa.com and i love it. It actually stop the uterus from ovulating which means it stop the production of the egg. It's very neat. Visit the web site and read up on it. It only last 3 yrs. though and it is inserted in your arm. I chose it because a girl i work with had to get the birth control you are talking about surgically removed because it shifted and started growing within her uterus. But overall she said that it was a great birth control.
- I am on the fence about this as well. The Mirena site says it works in one of three ways (funny they can't narrow it down): 1- it stops the release of eggs. 2- it prevents the sperm from meeting a released egg. 3- it prevents a fertilized egg from implanting in the uterus by thickening the uterine wall. Now, if it is 1 or 2 then I am fine with that, but 3 I am not ok with. I personally feel that if a live has been created it deserves a chance.
