4 to 5 weeks ago i started the birth control shot i was wondering if it was still possible to get pregnant?

my boyfriend and i had unprotected sex one time after being on the birth control shot is it possible to still get pregnant? lately i been feeling light headed and dizzy when i wake up in the mornings....i have not took a test yet but planning on it soon

2. it can be side effects of the shot, you are suppose to use a back up method for the first month with any birth control method. I would never take the shot. I have a friend who got pregnant on the shot...talk to your doctor and take a test
3. hello. well, i dont want to scare you, but i was on the depo shot and that's when i got pregnant. basically you doc. was supposed to tell you that it may take up to a month for the first shot to get into your system. after that you MUST get your shots at the same time or before your last one because it does RUN OUT! also, after you next shots you should use other protection for 3-5 days after because it might take that long to get into your system. i didnt listen and i am 24 weeks along!! so take a test and/or go to your doc.
4. it is probably a side effect from the shot being new to your body. ive been on the shot for a year and a half and my boyfriend and i never use protection and ive never gotten pregnant. its always possible to get pregnant though...no birthcontrol is 100% effective so if you're nervous then take a test when ur suppose to be on your period or go to the doctor and have a blood test done.
5. It isnt 100 percent to have you not get pregnant, but I think it is the most effective one, like 99.98 percent that it will protect from pregnancy. So just like anyone of them its possible, but not likely. I think it may be some of the side effects that you are feeling. I had dry mouth and tiredness when I first got mine. Now I have been on it for many yrs and love it since you dont have to remember to take it everyday and I havent had a menstral cycle since I have been on it.
