birth control side effects question?

i haven't actually started taking the birth control yet, but i was given ortho tri-cyclen lo & i've been wondering if the side effects are really that bad. i'm mostly concerned about the nausea because i have this GIANT fear of vomiting. what can i do to decrease the side effects or possibly prevent them?

2. its different with each pill and each person. A friend and i were on the same and i lost weight from it, whole she put weight on and was nauseus (she never actually vommitted though) its just a thing of trial and error. but if it helps i havtn heard of anyone that i know actually vommitting from any pill. good luck :)
