Pregnancy and birth control question?
I've been on birth control steadily since March. I take Loestrin Fe24. I had sex one day before I started taking my placebo pills. We didn't use a condom. I was wondering what the likelihood of pregnancy is, and if it is likely, how can I tell most easily. I still got my period that was scheduled during my placebo pills, but a friend said that I would be missing the next one and not this one, since my body wouldn't have time to get ready for pregnancy. Thanks for your help.

- if you have been taking your pills correctly each day at the same time then your chances are very low. if you feel you may be pregnant then wait till the next month and take a preg test on the week of the placebo pills. good luck
- You are 97-99% covered as long as you take them every day even during the time you are having your period.
- The best thing to do is either go to the doctor, or just buy a pregnancy test. The chances are probably low-medium. But just in case go get a pregnancy test or two.
- As far as I know birth control pills interfere with the eggs ability to accept sperm or it makes the uterus walls unable to allow for implantation of the fertilized egg. In fact, some people decide not to take birth control because they see this as a form of abortion. So, I'm guessing that all of the the functions of the sexual organs remain the same while on the pill. I just don't understant how some of the pills stop you from having your period. the walls of yor uterus have shed once you have your period! how would a fertilized egg be able to survive while there is no place to implant? I highly doubt you are pregnant!
