I have a Mirena(IUD, Birth control) and sometimes it hurts so bad after sex is there something wrong?

It usually hurts so bad that it feels as if someone is stabbing me with a knife down there...... Is there anything i can do about it....

1. Girl...please go see the OB-GYN who inserted it. This is a serious question for him/her.
2. it's possible that it may not have been inserted properly or it may have shifted.
